Multi faceted is not a quality that one would readily ascribe to Roger Moore, but it was one of the most truthful things about him. He was a very good looking film star, but he was also self deprecating, with a ready wit and sense of humour, complete with that all important weapons for great actors, and indeed comedians, timing. Then there was that voice, the almost purr like semi posh voice which belied his background as the son of a London police constable. What was frustrating was that he downplayed his talents to an extent that you feel that many people believed it. Certainly one felt that he should have had more roles, like that of Harold Pelham in The Man Who Haunted Himself, which was not a role that people would readily think of Roger Moore performing.
